Re: CONGRADULATIONS!

November 23, 2009 by azcro-alex

Alex, I got footage of a bigfootblob at Heigler.  I didn't realize it until I put it on You Tube and someone else pointed it out.  You can see the head, legs, and an arm moving from frame to frame.  It starts at 3:33.  Check it out.[media]

Very Cool Mitch...  I just got back from Seligman/Ashfork spent a few days at the cabin.  Had some movement outside last night but no other action or footprints that we could find.  Warmed up to close to 70 today, but it was cold last night so it may be getting near that time.

I'll be sure to check this out in more depth and make sure people know you got it and posted it here?

Re: Happy Birthday, AZCRO!!!!!

did anyone happen to notice that this AWESOME site is ONE YEAR OLD?!?!  It is hard to believe that it has been a year already! We have certainly had our ups and downs over this last year, but it appears that things are only going to get better as we learn who to trust, share, communicate, and collaborate. It is wonderful to see our member count approaching the big 4-0.  I hope all who come here feel comfortable sharing their ideas and experiences, as that was one of the big motivators behind the creation of AzCRO.And Alex.....thanks for keeping the fires burning!  Without an admin like you......and a big thanks to our 2 biggest contributors and researchers, Mitch and Susan.  You 3 are tireless! So happy birthday, AzCRO.  Lets keep on truckin'!Much Love to Everyone,Phoebe

-phoebe

Wow again this one slipped by me, I know we were out in the field that weekend Jeff H, Bryan, Mitch, Preston and myself, at the main camp and Mary and Dave at site#1? So it must have just been a busy week and I missed this post.

Anyways Phoebe that is pretty cool?  I want to say that is not correct though?  The stats are wrong some how I think?  I think Mitch will remember it was on one of our first trips together that he asked if our websites could handle a forum?  Like in May or June?  It was our first one together at what we call Base camp, so our 2nd trip to RC?  Isn't that right Mitch?  It was a couple of days later that I had it up and running...  Lefora makes it pretty easy.  J  We slowly added the side bar content.  Then you made it look all fancy, in August when I was in the TURKS dodging hurricanes.  The regular website www.azcro.net had all ready been up a few month's by then.

Thanks Phoebe for such kind words and also for all your help.  You were and still are one of our most important members; hope you’re feeling well.

Re: THE MOGOLLON MONSTER, ARIZONA'S BIGFOOT

November 17, 2009 by azcro-alex

Great Clip Mitch...  I'm not sure what you have here though?  The manorisms seem to be human, but the proportions do not.  I was on the phone with JC and The Crypto 4 Corners team last week.  JC and I were discussing the length of the arms, we were both perplexed, then either Darin or Jonathan saw the reflection or flashlight?  Until then we were thinking it was possibly a creature, now I'm not so sure?

But it's better then anything I've gotten lately?  You, Preston, and Dave are out there doing it.  That's what counts.  I'm just happy to get anything to look at and study, so please keep up the good work and keep the information flowing.  Please resend the Email you sent me yesterday, the attachments didn't make it through.  Either the firewall at my work or something else blocked it?  Usually they allow that kind of stuff there but the IT department is getting better all the time?

Re: MONSTER QUEST

November 17, 2009 by azcro-alex

I sent in a letter, again.  I don't know if they actually follow up on anything?  I've done it before too many times, but I'll keep trying too.  smile

I just realized I lost the email address I had for the Media Co that contacted me from The Discovery Channel.  They haven't gotten back to me any ways, but you and I both know these things do take time.

The Phoenix magazine article took many months from when they interviewed us to actually hit the stands?

I'm off to the Cabin in Seligman/Ashfork Wednesday after work.  I may do the radio show on the way up there; I believe I will be on as a guest.

Tom says that a video team from "The Animal Planet" is going to be filming up there Fri/Sat.  I will wear your shirt at lest one of the days.  wink

You're still invited too.  As is any one else.

There's something else going on up there too, I'm keeping this one to myself until I learn a little bit more on the subject, of course I've bounced it off a few people up there.  It's through reports up there that Rob and I got in town that got me thinking about this.  More news to follow.

My 9th grand child was born today by my youngest daughter.  Leeanne is her name.  6 pounds 13 oz and is 18 inches long.  No pictures yet, bu they will be coming. My next door neighbor (many of you know him) lost a daughter.   Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and if you pray, please include them.  We are close and it has been a tragic event.

-thedesertrat

Wow, Mitch God giveth and god taketh away.

Isn't life strange? Well someone is suffering a loss; someone else is celebrating a birth...  There's nothing wrong with that it's just the way it is?

Congratulations on the newest member to the Waite clan, give the whole family best wishes and warm thoughts from me...  Especially your wonderful wife, I miss speaking with you both very much.

For Kyle and his family, nothing I say could possible make a difference at this point...? I wish them nothing but the best of course.  I have no idea what he and his family must be going through though?  With 6 children myself let me just say loosing one of them has always been one of my biggest fears.

When the time is right maybe we can take Kyle out and get away from the city and all the memories that come with it?  Out in the woods or out on the boat, just anything to go have some fun with the men and maybe forget about real world for a weekend.  I'm sure it won't be for a while if ever, but let him know I'm there for him in any way he or you needs.

Re: SASQUATCH WATCH RADIO:

November 7, 2009 by azcro-alex

Hey Billy, this just hit the front page of Yahoo and Yahoo Buzz as I speak it's " LIVE " at the time of this post. I guess it's because I called in on last weeks show LOL !!! Great Job Billy & CrewBigfoot gets big buzzBigfoot: It's a riddle wrapped in a mystery, or something like that. But is it an enigma because it doesn't exist (say it isn't so!) or because we haven't had the technology to properly document the evidence? Members of Sasquatch Watch are definitely in the latter camp. And a group of intrepid Bigfoot hunters were on the move in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia, armed with all the gee-whiz gadgets needed to prove, for sure, without ambiguity, definitely, that Bigfoot exists. Maybe. Although some suspicious footprints were preserved with plaster of Paris in areas where there have been previous so-called sightings of the beast, un-fun skeptics are unsure if this is the real deal. But enthusiasts of the furry biped have already helped launch big buzz on the Web. Searches on "latest bigfoot sightings" shot up over 100%. Amateur sleuths also sought out "real bigfoot pictures," "bigfoot evidence," and "bigfoot research organization."

-bigfootwest

West Virginia is hot right now...  Tom is there too, with Kris Allen the country singer.  I believe they're in a different location though....

Things are starting to heat up everywhere, as temperatures change and all Migrating animals start to move...

Is that show in the archives yet AP?  I have to check it out...  If you can, please post the links to both shows you where on; here or in your BigfootWest thread.

Sasquatch hunters search West Virginia

Published: Oct. 28, 2009 at 8:06 PM

DAVIS, W.Va., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Members of Sasquatch Watch of Virginia said they collected potential evidence in West Virginia's Dolly Sods Wilderness area, but had no Bigfoot sightings.
Billy Willard, the group's founder, said he and members of his team collected samples of suspicious feces and casts of footprints during the weekend camp-out at the wilderness area in the Allegheny Mountains but they didn't catch any glimpses of the legendary man-ape, West Virginia Public Broadcasting reported Wednesday.
"Typically we go out and visit sites where there's been previous sighting reports," Willard said. "We do get encounters called in to a hot line that we have, and we go out and we'll research those areas looking for evidence such as footprints, strange stick tree structures and that kind of thing."
Willard said he has never personally seen a Sasquatch, but he is convinced that they exist.
"I could accept that this thing is human, whether it's an undiscovered Native American tribe of people, I could accept that this is some kind of North American ape that just simply hasn't been documented yet," he said. "Those are the two main theories."

Re: Ashfork and the Toe nail.

October 22, 2009 by azcro-alex

I did say keep on subject, but that was in the "Report" thread TY for actually trying to do that for me.  In this thread Mary, you can discuss and debate anything you like.  If you want to start a new thread that would be fine too, on any subject you like.  I was just trying to keep the Report area kind of focused on the reports.  I would like to keep the Individual Team threads that way also, but this conversation started here.  So go with it...

One thing that would help is for everyone to either use the Quote feature (as I have done in the past) or explain who you are talking to (as I have done here above) as sometimes it is hard to tell?

I welcome your opinions and ideas...  I don't have to agree with them, but I love the fact that you are posting and discussing them here.  So please don't go away...

Another thing I will say to everyone, is we have to embrace new members to the forum, make them feel welcome, so they will post and tell us their feelings, occurrences, sightings, etc.

Not every new member is going to think exactly like we think...  Most are here just to read up and that’s OK.  When someone new posts we should all be excited, because that's a new avenue for conversation and ideas.  We all forget that some times.  Continue on guys and gals, I slept like 9 hours and feel renewed.

So here is a “REQUEST” any one that has posted here or visited here in the past, please feel free to join in the conversation.  I’m interested in every ones opinions, thoughts and findings, so isn’t everyone else.

There are no bad ideas, only different ideas.

There are sections here for everyone, and if you want a section on something specific, we can make it!  As long as your going to use it!  J

Re: Ashfork and the Toe nail.

October 22, 2009 by azcro-alex

Thank you all for your replies... as it does give some perspective.Yes, in some ways I was talking about you Alex..not so on a personal level b/c I liked you... but the move to media vs science.... and I know there are many frustrated b/c no-one in science (or authority) listens... but how can they above the din and chaos of bad reporting and research?I do agree that media keeps it alive and continues to attract many to the quest.... but for me personally it accomplishes nothing and is a distraction from the credibility one must have to get anyone in science to listen!

-mary

Well if you are talking about my recent articles in the Phoenix Magazine and the Times publications article in the Scottsdale Times.

It's not a recent move, I have been on multiple radio shows all over the country, and it pretty much started a day after I put up www.azcro.com.  I haven't been on TV yet but I figure it's only a matter of time.  Two different media outlets have contacted me, so we will see.  These things take a very long time; The Phoenix Magazine article was on going for most of this year?  Two people I know have been on MQ so I don’t really think that’s too far fetched.  I know people that have been on the discovery channel, A&E, and Animal planet.  I have been offered my own radio show, which would include a sponsor.   I can’t commit to anything more right now

Shanna from The Times came out in the field with me along with Eric the photographer, we had a great time.  Basically she got Tom B’s name from our site and the rest is kind of history.  Two different news channels have picked up the story and gone up there?  AZ 3 is going back.  There’s talk of it going national.  I’m not a publicity hound or I would be up there with Tom getting on the news, but I will never turn down publicity.  How else are you going to get members, info and funding?

Firearms and cougars... can't think of a report ever in AZ in which a cougar attacked a grown individual.. I have hiked in cougar country alone many a time... humans are an absolute last resort (the cost too high with potential injury to the cat)  I have been lucky and seen in all these years just one cougar in the wild.....

-mary

Well have you ever looked for one, have you hacked in and around Seligmen & Ashfork

Well have you ever looked for one, have you hiked in and around Seligmen & Ashfork?  If you have my next question would be why?  J

It’s a very unforgiving land, there have been 3 Mountain lions sighted on Larry’s ranch, 4 if you count the one I might have seen?  The Ranger is actively hunting a 300lb cat now…  Mountain Lions avg about 140lbs, usually?

Type: Mammal

Diet: Carnivore

Size: Head and body, 3.25 to 5.25 ft (1 to 1.6 m); Tail, 23.5 to 33.5 in (60 to 85 cm)

Weight: 136 lbs (62 kg)

Protection status: Endangered

Size relative to a 6-ft (2-m) man:

Now double that.  My theory is they are mating with Jaguars?

Type: Mammal

Diet: Carnivore

Average lifespan in the wild: 12 to 15 years

Weight: 100 to 250 lbs (45 to 113 kg)

Protection status: Endangered

Size relative to a 6-ft (2-m) man:

That’s not supposed to happen in nature, but there are others who think it is possible.

The Mountain Lion; Felis concolor

The Jaguar: Panthera onca

The species have never been known to cross breed?

The Jaguar has been know to breed with other Panthera.  When it does the resulting animal is usually larger then both parents?

The Asian Lion: Panthera Leo Persica

The African Lion: Panthera Leo

Type: Mammal

Diet: Carnivore

Size: Head and body, 4.5 to 6.5 ft (1.4 to 2 m); Tail, 26.25 to 39.5 in (67 to 100 cm)

The Tiger: Panthera Tigris

Type: Mammal

Weight: 660 lbs (300 kg)

Protection status: Endangered

The Leopard: Panthera Pardus

ype: Mammal

Protection status: Endangered

Size relative to a 6-ft (2-m) man:

Not too long ago a Bobcat got into one of the bars on Whisky Row in Prescott.  It injured 7 people before they got it out of there?

Bobcat: Felis rufus

Type: Mammal

Diet: Carnivore

Average lifespan in the wild: 10 to 12 years

Size: Head and body, 26 to 41 in (66 to 104 cm); Tail, 4 to 7 in (10 to 18 cm)

Weight: 11 to 30 lbs (5 to 14 kg)

Did you know? The bobcat is the most abundant wildcat in the U.S. and has the greatest range of all native North American cats.

Re: Haigler Creek

October 22, 2009 by azcro-alex

I think I found the proper proper place to report a sighting.  Actually, I was acting on a tip from a hunter friend who was hunting in the upper headwaters of Haigler Creek.  He did mention a water fall.  Anyone here familiar with that area?  He said he was camping near the creek.  About 4:30am he awoke to the most horrific roar/scream he had ever heard.  He said it silenced all the birds and stuff that was getting ready to great the morning.  It lasted nearly two minutes.  At first it sounded like it was on a tall peak near by but then it got more quiet like it was moving down off the peak towards the creek.   It un-nerved him so much he packed it up and left immediately.  He said he had heard elk bugling quite often but this was much louder, lower, and sounded very angry.  This was on the October 2, 09.  I am working on the excact location, but my friend declines to state where because he doesn't want to be responsible for anyone getting hurt.  He seemed to think that this thing was out to hurt something.  Have any of you experienced something like this?  Has any of you been in that area?

-azbfhunter

Great report and TY AZBigfoothunter...  Yes this is the right place to report it too.  Great job!

To everyone else, lets keep the convo in here on topic.

That does sound like the exact sound I heard.  Larry Jenkins the owner of the Ashfork property heard the same sound I heard, he heard it at the same location I did, but he heard it 15yrs earlier?  I was on the phone with him for about an hour tonight?  I once heard a recording that sounds like that same sound, but it was off in the distance...  What ever made the sounds i heard was very close to me, it was revirb-a-rating in my chest, it felt like the ground was shaking.

The Haigler Creek area is an area both Mitch and I had reports from earlier in the year too.  So I definitely believe your friend.  Try to get a more accurate location from him.  GPS points would be the best, but I'll even take a rough map.  Forest Road # and millage?

For obvious reasons don't post the exact location here if you get it.  Please email it directly to me at alex@azcro.net.

We can go there as soon as possible, you and him can come if you like.  Anyone else too.

If we do go:

  • What we would need to do is break up into small groups of no more then 2.  One group of 3 if we have an odd number of people.

  • Camp just with in radio range of each other and keep contact through out the night.  You use the radio only to contact each other by counting off once an hour at a set time.  You keep total radio silence at all other times.

  • Each group should have one person with a sound recording device, so if any one has one we need you to come!

  • We can try wood knocking, calling or call blasting etc, but always at set times.

At the moment azbfhunter just click away right here !!!Hello everyone, nice to see all the troops again. For those that don't know this is Tommy A.P. Chiming in. I have not posted in awhile, it has been a extremely busy year for us. WOW, what a great conversation in here! I first have to agree with “ I am not a typist theory “ Because I am not. We have sought forward for new innovative ways to communicate effectively so accidental mis interpretations do not occur. I am good for a sentence of writing, then I don't even understand myself.Let me make it clear that Tommy A.P. & Bigfootwest is an Independent Research Group. We will meet anyone that is willing to meet us. We have met up with several different groups in the last two years it's just part of the job. If we did not do that, then I would not of had the opportunity to meet most of you! Just because we stop by the BFRO camp does not mean we are with the BFRO etc that's non-sense. It's a network; resource and learning experience. I have met many great people including most of you only because of it.As far as the Media, I think we hold the record for declining the most interviews period. The gun debate is a never ending circle, especially in this relaxed gun law state. Some big footers carry them because they are off-duty police officers. I carry mine for all kinds of reasons based on past experiences, I would not harm a fly.Let me state that Bigfootwest operates and obeys all laws at all times. We are 100% legal from start to finish, with solid background histories. As far as the Macho Man Theory LOL, if I played the theme to Cinderella no one would watch the video.I want to let everyone know that you have an open invitation at any time to contact me and it would be my honor to get back to you. admin@bigfootwest.comIf I call you an A**hole once your my friend, if I call you it twice, your my best friend.Keep up the great work !!!Tommy A.P.[url]

-bigfootwest

Hey Asshole, great post! devil

It is a great conversation I can't even keep up...  Of course that's from lack of sleep, I've basically worked 25days straight if you count my time in the cabin...4 days off now, thank god, but I think I'll sleep most of the next two...  It's killing me not being able to go to Ashfork, or to Young...  The Apaches are having a ton of activity too, but I can't get away...   It's my Anniversary Eily put up with me for another year, so I have to make her happy for a couple of days...  Especially after the year she's had!!

Re: Ashfork and the Toe nail.

October 21, 2009 by azcro-alex

Where do I go to to make a report on my sighting?  I have been reading your postings for quite some time before I jointed.  In fact, your postings are the reason I am here.  It looks like you people are getting things done, not like some places that just pick each other appart and theorize things to death.   You all have done more in the last year than all the others put together in last five years!  I hope the new guy has a chance in this forum

-azbfhunter

AZ you are welcome here any time...  Feel free to post anything that is on your mind..  Your also welcome to come out in the field with us too...

Since I approved you last night I have either been asleep or at work.  So forgive me for not getting back to you sooner.  You seem to have all ready gotten a warm welcome from our most of the group too...  Thanks everyone!

ON where you should make a report, well you seem to have found the best place for that too...  Good Job!  wink

If you wanted to report something in a email the best one is sightings@azcro.net, it is a little more private.

You can send private msg with in the forum to any member too.  You can do that by clicking where it says messages in the very top right corner of the webpage.  if you go to someones profile and click the little envelope near their name it will load the msg editor too with that person as the recipient.

I'm always availabe either here or by direct email to alex@azcro.net
feel free to drop me a line anytime.

Thanks for joining and posting, enjoy!

Come on, lets talk about this evidence on the toe nail.It could actually be a fingernail. But come on people, 48 members here, lets get some discussion rolling. It's time to put words into action. We've all signed up, we're all reading and posting.Or is it just me, alex mary an Borderland? We sit here in computer land and ask ask ask.Let's get a Team Together and go do some ground and pound going on!Last year we were all talking about this trip coming up, the next trip coming up.I've run my damn vehicle, almost new mind you, into the ground and checking out some theories I had come up with.Ask Borderland, He's knows all too well!I need a bigger vehicle like John!Last year, about this time, Azcro was about maybe 12 people. Now it's ALMOST 50 freaking people, man!!50 PEOPLE!Let's get out there and pick eachothers brains.50 people means we have a small army!Getting frustrated because MonsterQuest isn't giving you answers?Or how the discovery channel just hyped up a new spot on bigfoot, then at the last 15 minutes, they pick it apart and make the whole bigfoot community look like a bunch of misguided weirdo's?Let the mouse have a weekend off, and lets get a trip started!Who's good for a weekender?Who's got idea's to try out?-------------------------------------------------------You read that post.Tomorrow you'll read somebodies reply.Maybe calling me a jack ass, or a loud mouth. And then....Bigfoot is still undiscovered. And this is why he's still out there and still on the "Unknown" list.I want answers. And guess what?I'm getting them.Who's up for a December Freezer Session?December 5th, 2009.Waning Gibbous Moon.Ask Borderland if I got some answers to the questions that we have been asking for the last year, 2 years, 10 years, 20 years?

-ig88

I have to get to bed, I'll reply more tomorrow, but this all sounds great to me...  Great Post Vic!

Hey John, does Vic have the answers?  monkey

Re: Ashfork and the Toe nail.

The Patterson footage has never been proven to be a hoax. What you have are people making claims. And herronomous in that monkey suit was so freaking pathetic looking, the ape costume that they used on Gilligans Island looked a million times better.Herronomous actually looked more like grover from sesame street, than anything else. The HOAX was commited by Ivan Marx in his claims on video.Come on now, Two cowboys from the rodeo construct a monkey costume that was better than the million dollar hollywood studios had when planet of the apes came out???That's a little far fetched for me.These two cowboys constructed a suit that used a technology that the movie scene started using some 20 years after?I'm not fighting or yelling, please understand this. But it seems a little far fetched that these Good Ol' Boys showed up the movie industry even until the mid 80's.And they achieved this in 1967?!?!?!

-ig88

It's quite OK, your opinion matters...  I like it too, I want Patty to be real...

I just think it's probably fake...   Do you know they live with in about 6 houses from each other the 3 of them...

Re: Ashfork and the Toe nail.

Correction:Homo ? Homocide = Murder.I'm not willing to take the chances of breaking any laws. And the people who are out in the field with me are trained in firearms.I'm not, so I don't carry one.

-ig88

Me too, and no one here was going to correct your spelling…  J

Don't take offence to any of this. Its not intended that way.I'm just calling them as I see them. Are Biscardis methods right? He hasn't gotten one yet.I'm pretty sure that answers the question.

-ig88

No offence taken and you might have a point!  He’s not perfect, but he’s a great guy…  So isn't JB...

But I did see what would take place if somebody called in TB or bfro. They wouldn't even acknowledge the little guy.And they would take full credit. Now, this is what I got from all the media publicity that this last incident taught us.

-ig88

Come on you know that’s not true, he flew them out to SFO and was giving them their due credit all the way, they had been giving fancy hotel suites…  They were wined and dined and were due to give another press conference when the hoax was discovered, so they took off, disappeared…   He wasn’t stealing anything or any credit they had a contract.  You need to meet him, you would think different.

I hope the DNA can be sequenced for a chromosome count, but again that doesn’t prove anything…  The people that actually do the testing will doubt their own findings before they say it’s a Bigfoot.  Tom had to submit the dang toenail in some girls name because no one would look at it if he sent it…  Mitch did you not have the same problem?

I noticed your post on another thread claiming "bigfoot" discovery for the folks that post here.  I imagine the Apache's and any eyewitness prior to Mitch's website launch (and maybe Mitch too!) would take issue (like the guy in Gila Bend) with that.

-mary

I not sure who you’re talking to here, but I think it’s me?  J  I don’t know what post you’re talking about either because I don’t think I ever said what you are saying?

About the Apache’s, I’m not sure what you mean.  I spent 5 days on the REZ this year all ready and have recently been invited back.  They are a great people that have been harmed by the white man in the past.  I never felt like they blamed me for that while I was there though.   Unlike when I have been to other places in my life; they were friendly, help full, and sharing of their stories.  They were interested in my thoughts and ideas too.  They believe in the creature in much greater percentages then do white people.  Truth be told, they did treat me like a celebrity?  They treated me nicer then I have been treated ever in my hometown.  I signed over 300 autographs on a glossy photo, and dozens more DVDs, Hats, t-shirts, and one BRA?  I’m not bragging and I wasn’t looking for publicity.  In fact I was downright embarrassed to be giving autographs.  I was there to learn, network, and possible see Bigfoot.  I did all three, thanks to STAR, Chief A. K. Reilly’s Son.  I believe they consider me their friend, as they want me to come back.  I liked them also.  Total strangers invited us into their homes.  We went to the CRIBTREE area.  I couldn’t help but feel their pain when we went to that neighborhood.

The Man in Gila Bend?  Do you mean Roger Petersen?  We call him RPM?  I have been to the location he speaks about, with and with out AP, Roger gave us the directions.   I’d like to think we are or soon will be friends too.  I was emailing Roger all day long today, we were making plans for a fishing trip, AP may come too.  Again I’m not bragging I just try to stay friendly with everyone…  Yes and we all know I’m not perfect~~~~~~~  I said try…  J

I still don’t get what your point is?  I’m not trying to be defensive either, just stating the facts and then asking questions.

And, it is just such jealousy of the 'hunt' and recognition that makes the BF community become suspect whenever we release info... the (unfair) claims of publicity seeking, etc.  So, personally I think a low key approach and reporting to first 'authorities' and then the public is the best route for credibility....sans a body..

-mary

I couldn’t agree with you more on the jealousy point though; I have experienced that first hand on many occasions.  I’ve learned to forgive people for that too, because it’s natural and I have felt it myself.  Anything bad or discouraging that has happened to me because of BF and other Cryptids is far out weighed by good things.  Basically this is new territory for us all, so mistakes will happen feeling may be hurt.  Hopefully we just all chalk it up to experience and move on.  We can’t all think alike, but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk things out and learn from each other opinions especially if different.

About the reporting I'm not so sure how to handle.  Realistically at that point I'm pretty sure greed would take over...

I don't really think I'm going to be the one to catch one though, so that's not a problem...   Unless it's part of group effort, it won't be me.  I don't have the resources on my own.

I basically just scout area's when I'm alone during the day and meet people,  then at night I'll go experience a location myself.  I feel when I'm alone I'm not a threat to any creature.

Plus I have been searching on my own for along time.  I have only had these websites for 2-3 years, the forum for 18month's...

However as soon as I got my previous 4X4 in Mass, I was off to the woods every chance I got just like here.  We lived in the Hokomock Swamp for 2years before we moved to AZ too.  I was also lucky enough to grow up in one of the oldest places in the country, Quincy, Ma.  We have always had a boat.  I was pretty young when my dad started letting me take it.  One of the most mysterious places in the country are the Boston Harbor Islands.  Poe was stationed there and is said to have written much of his work well there and about there.   I've went all over most of those Islands, with and with out my father since I was very young.

I also lived in for two years and researched the history of Salem, MA.  Did you know that in the 17th & 18th century that Salem was the largest seaport in the country?  Of course we all know about the Witches, but that only touches on the stories from old Salem

I have been researching the Paranormal since I was very young.    Not just 8-12 month's.

What Mitch did last summer was an innocent and realistic response to his first experience - he told the world and invited like minded people to join in 'research."   Apparently that's you guys....

-mary

Mitch, Susan, AP and I have been talking about this stuff for more like 3 yrs now.  Mitch and I have been going to RC since very early last spring, basically one week after the Tent Squishing.  We have been talking about reports there for close to two years now.  I believe the story from the hunters was November 2007?

I'm still not being defensive just telling a little bit about my background, and where I'm coming from.

I came onto the Sierra Anches (first in the 70's in college and since as prime hiking/camping) wrt to BF via Google Earth and the BFRO postings for AZ (the layer downloaded with the program in the early days of Earth) ... there is an account referring to the Peterson Homestead.  After some exploratory trips in Fall of 08 I then Googled around AZ websites... Mitch among them and specific to the area.  I recognized the area immediately and applauded his excited approach.  As someone who was seeking just a camping adventure for the summer (and a bit tired of human SW prehistory topics) his website read like a true witness and an ordinary guy responding as best as he could. It seemed like fun... I didn't really expect to have the mystery solved for me personally (it is in some ways now... I just want to know what they are!).

-mary

Well to tell you the truth, that's the way he and Susan made me feel too.  I bought her book and was fascinated that I could talk to them every day online?  I had never met any one like that in real life.  A.P. and I hit it off pretty good too...

I'm not really sure how you can say the mystery is solved for you?  I knew something was out there since 1973, I finally seen it last year in broad daylight, 20-30' from me.  I saw one again this year in the moon light and with night vision, and then I chased one for about 200 yards.  I have heard of many things and experienced much myself, and the mystery is not solved for me.

How can you say that, and I am seriously asking you this question, because I know you will have a great answer, not because I am doubting you.

I never did meet the "group," by the time I met Mitch in April 09 b/c it had already dissolved... apparently with some hard feelings on both sides....and I have only met you Alex and a Tom with long hair.  I follow the posts here and in other forums..Oregon Bigfoot has Jeff's (beautiful pics) and I think some other forums too.....BF forums are scary.....I have talked with Tom Biscardi and others in the 'field.'  I have no problem with any of you or your styles... your goals as they belong to you and tolerance is the only requirement to a half sane life....But, as for joining up with various groups or endorsing what some do that's another thing...or putting out info to you  guys via websites like these......it doesn't serve my goals (or probably BF's) because I don't personally want a BF shot or captured - at all.

I think with the right kind of evidence presented in a credible way ...and sufficient funding/expertise we are capable of studying w/o killing.... and wait till we can a body naturally....

-mary

Most of the group from last year has been active in this thread, so you're meeting them now...

As I said, I know Tom Says exactly what your saying that he said, but his actions tell a different story.  He can't shot one of these F___ers, (As he calls it from time to time) if you he doesn't carry a large caliber gun.  I'm pretty sure his little Derringer would only piss it off.

In fact I can tell you where it is right now and it's not even with him, it's on the shelf in the cabin...

We know b/c of the BF hoax Georgia last year the market value of a body is apparently $50k (and less with this bad economy?)... that won't retire anyone here for life and will be a shameful association unless under absolute self defense (and of course why in their territory to raise their threats?).... and the idea of investors good money put down for such a pursuit...well it isn't science..it's BIG GAME HUNTING...and I do not consider BF BIG GAME...In fact based on what I see and hear in the field I believe their cognitive ability exceeds say Chimps... some where around H. erectus perhaps...... did you know we H. sapiens had our brain size for many hundred's of thousands years before our 'great awakening?"  We were capable of fire, tool making, speech for many many many thousands of years before we actually performed these things and differentiated ourselves from the other 5 or more hominid species living with us.  BF is one of those that lived along us then...and still does.

-mary

$50,000?  that was basically the entry level $$$, and it goes up from there.
You know as well as I that that that body would have drawn in much more $$$ then that...  Millions!  Monies from ways we can't even comprehend at this time.  It was the 7th most popular news story of the year?  There would have been movies, books and TV shows, all forking up the $$$
The people that would be paying the $$ are not really being affected by the economy, as much as they are just being cautious because of the hoaxes...  I know a couple of the Money people that were involved.

Perhaps it's choice of closed forest and ours of open plains made the coexistence possible.... lets don't blow it and think in terms bigger than ourselves... in terms of evolution and genesis....WRT to the Sierras or many places we all go...the rim FR 300, etc..... these are public lands with campers and kids, etc...... we have responsibilities beyond ourselves and even BF.... so we all should have an eye to continuing filling in the Forest Service or land owners as we progress...or wildlife groups, game and fish... that's whose ears we need.... and to get it our best bet is a group report... reported in the best scientific method..... the facts.... I would love to author/coauthor a cross group 'report' designed for any wildlife agency/gov/university.... etc and if we can't get the right attention then launch it to a magazine of note...like Nature...... My background in scientific technical writing is extensive - both as an environmental engineer and environmental attorney... we could do something together of much greater merit than any alone....and as an attorney I can address any issues you all might have with some perceived future value of personal photos, etc... those copyrights remain with you...and, anything you can create from the experiences (books seem popular). what I am saying is I don't believe there is any sudden fame or glory in this pursuit (and seeking out a few YouTube subscriptions not my idea of retirement) and if we act responsibly and cooperatively ..well  I don't see it happening...B/c I probably won't cooperate with those 'hunting' ...which means TB.... and whenever I see L. Dan he is carrying a rifle..... so what am I to think?  And I won't cooperate with those who would want to report more than the 'facts' ... etc.... so I am stubborn too.Where is the Jane Goodall group?
I think Mitch is the closest I have met thus far...I read here someone named Vic? seemed to be against hunting them.... I assume the rest?  I just know TB has told me point blank his intent is to kill - that's the whole attraction of private property at Ashfork.....
so I am out on this and other forums.  I must distance myself from such behavior... I can't condone it.  I can't condone the 'celebrity'  thing either..... it all just distracts from the serious job of communicating the truth to the right people and protecting both BF and humans......On the other hand... since I don't know many of you this post is open to great critisim... but I do not intend to be judgemental..not at all - to each their own... and so please don't feel a need to defend yourself... I am not on the attack just stating my perspective.but, if one has a mind set like mine then I would like to correspond privately.otherwise isn't it fun?

-mary

You go girl.  Mary this was a great post!  I couldn't possibly answer it all but I tried...  I know you're just being your normal inquisitive questioning self, and that's awesome!  I would like to think we hit it off well too, and that I can be blunt with you.  I sent you an email the other day did you get it?  :)
Tell Dave howdy, What does he say about the rock now that he's had some time to think about it.
I still want to get out in the field with you too...  Don't worry about me, I don't carry...  I know you do, so that's good enough for me.

I am pro-media only.I don't collect scat, prints, but will most likely collect hair and other body parts. As for the comment on givving our information to game and fish or the forestry department? Why?They work these areas. They know full well that these animals are out there. The right people know the right information, basically a need to know basis.I'm not sharing anything with people who don't share with me or the group that I am in.

-ig88

I agree Vic, and you've gotten some pretty good media so far, great post!  grin

And if you believe a body of one of these animals is onyly worth 50k?Think again. The 2 schmucks took what they could get, without the proper tests to guarantee that it was infact real.

-ig88

I believe that was only a deposit there was going to be much more coming after that.  It was  the 7th largest news story of the year, and that’s after people found out it was a hoax?

Fame?Paterson-Gimlin.40+ years ago.I believe we all still know who they are.

-ig88

Yes, we all know who they are, and that was a hoax too…  See Leroy Blevins data, combine that with Philip Morris’s claims, Bob Huronamus is also very creditable and believable.  Gimlin won’t speak, but he hasn’t called Philip Morris or Bob Huronamus a liar either?  He supposedly made a deathbed pack with Paterson and will never admit that it was a hoax?  Some say as long as Paterson's wife is still alive?  That is all "he said she said", but it is the scuttle butt that is going around.

Homonid+Homocide= Murder.Youtube = recruitment, ideas, networking, Want to share?Get involved with a group, become as active as you can. Play a team member. There are a few groups here in arizona.Surely there's one that suits you.One person isn't going to seal the discovery. The best of the best have tried this method. All have failed.Information and data mining isn't going to do it.Field participation can.And I 100% back everything that Borderland just posted.I'm not looking to make 1 million dollars of retire.I'm looking for answers. The rest, and how much will soon follow.Stop kidding yourself. This is going to be the discovery of monumental purportions. The two georgia fools drew in cameras from every part of the world. Why?Because they have the same riddle running around their forests. And I, for one, say that I'm going to be a part of this discovery.Mark my words! Its Man against Beast. And I don't plan on losing this competition of the minds. If you would like to step up to the plate and be a part of the discovery process,Then you have to pick up the bat.

-ig88

Everything you say is basically right, and as always I love your passion, Vic.

I think people say that they have had Bigfoot in their sites and said it looked too human to shot?  I have gone hunting for duck, quail and pheasant, lets just say they are all delicious!

I once however shot a Sparrow with my BB gun, from the hip at about 20yards?  I was a kid, showing off with the BB Gun the first time I brought it outside.  I had shot allot in my cellar, but I still never thought I would hit it...  Well it was the Un-luckiest shot ever...  I hit it of course and thought I was going to die.  I had killed something for no reason, something beautiful?  I loved those little birds.  I hated myself for a long time!

I couldn't pull the trigger on anything unless it was the last resort, or Hunting which would be for food.

Re: Ashfork and the Toe nail.

October 21, 2009 by azcro-alex

Mary I believe most of the groups in Arizona are no kill groups, the group I belong to along with Vic, Jeff and other good folks [url] is a no kill group. We do carry sidearms in the field, but these are for personal protection only. We are trained to use them and do not un-holster unless there is an immediate threat to life or limb. We do not consider BF to be a threat as there is little or no evidence to show physical harm attributable to him, but there are other threats out there and 911 is a long way off. You are absolutely right about BF not being big game, I am a hunter, there is a significant difference between actually hunting big game and looking to kill a BF. Not even considering the morale implications, the legal implications would be great. Private or public land does not matter.I believe AZCRO is also no kill group as most other groups that are in the public. The folks out there to kill one are few and far between. I would not worry too much about it, BF has been around for a long time and seems to know how to get away from someone wishing him harm. There are reports of hunters taking shots at them, but no remains are ever found, I attribute most of these stories to inexperienced hunters looking through their scopes at something they cant make out and putting a little too much pressure on the trigger creating an accidental discharge, they most likely shot a tree.

-borderland

TY John!  Yes you're 100% right.  I am, as you know "No Kill".  I don't even carry when I'm out in the field unless some one gives me their spare and makes me.  Which happens allot of course, as anyone that's been to my myspace knows.  What I know about handguns, I've learned from guys like you teaching me here in AZ.  So I'm perfectly happy letting you, Mitch, Jeff, etc protect me when I'm in the field.  I haven't been out alone as much this year though.

I do however believe that the only way to inconclusively prove that they exist is and will be with a body, dead or alive.  I don't think Tom B will be the one shooting it Mary!  He only carries a small Derringer looking thing on his person.  He carries tasers, a dart gun, (that collects DNA and falls out), and a Air pressure propelled “Net gun” in the rig along with the usual other BF equipment, no guns...  JB has a handgun that he keeps in his suit case not on his hip?  T.J. is a former ranger, but he only carries a Taser; when with them in the field.  He hasn't been with them this year, as he has a family to take care of like I..  Leonard carries only a sidearm in the field Mary, and it's not a big one...  I've only seen Leonard with that small riffle in J.C's vids.  J.C. has a Shotgun just like AP.  I've been with them all, and the only place I have seen anyone un-holster and actually shot a handgun is at Larry's range.

Ashfork is a little different for one Larry Jenkins is a Gun Smith, and has a shooting range set up at the cabin.  Also with so many large cats reported in the area; it's a must to carry or be with some one that is.

I was a little late getting to the morning walk my last day there.  Rob and Larry were ahead of me and I was trying to catch up.  100 yards from the cabin on the top of the ridge just above Larry's canyon, I caught a glimpse of something watching them?  It was either a light brown cat, or coyote.  They were basically turning into the base of the canyon.  It was up on the peak about 50’-60’ high.  It was on a rock jutting out at the corner looking down.  It had to back up to go down the edge of the cliff, when it did I saw it's curved tail up in the air?  I can't say 100% it was a Mountain Lion, but it sure looked like one?  I yelled to them of course and we never saw it again.  That's another thing that makes me think even more that it was a cat; a Coyote probably wouldn't run when I yelled?  I was in no way a threat to it.  I've tried to scare coyotes away before, they are a little more resilient and stubborn.

Well, I am still trying to digest all that happened and hoping I have the video and pictures to back it up.  Yes, there were vocalizations each night.  Then there was the visit by the skunk.  And on the last night we got visited by a biped creature standing about 6 foot, with no neck, and very hairy.  He passed through our camp, when he realized I was not asleep.  There were some other things that happened, etc, but I don't know if I want to post them.  I don't know if I want to endure the mess it will create.  I don't think the BF world is ready for it, and if you think we caught flack from other organizations before, you haven't seen nothing yet.  I will be willing to discuss it under strict confidence via direct email with you.My hopes and prayers are with you and your Hubby--PhoebeBryan?  I am getting confused as to who is whom.  Bryan from Phoenix Mag, or from Channel 12 news?

Everyone here is ready for it, if not email me I'm still dying to know!  devil

Boy, I don't know what it takes to get you all talking.  We got fingerprints, footprints, vocalizations, and sightings.  But no one has much to say?  No questions?  Am I the only one out in the field on a regular basis?  No advice?  No chatter?  What gives? Perhaps, I will clam up too.

-thedesertrat

Hi Mitch don't do that.

As John said everyone is just waiting on your reports and adventures.  I know I do!  :)

Come on tell us about your latest incident, I think it may be one of your most fascinating reports yet...

Also I think what you told me about the Ashfork area would make for a great post too.

I would love to get a discussion going about that.

I work 24/7 trying to get people to join here and tell their stories.  It's just most of the people I'm out with are not PC people, they're real outdoors men, and don't much care for the internet.  Also a few times others have chased off new members.  That certainly wouldn't happen now...

Lats face it everyone here has a sour taste in their mouth over what happened last year.  But that is basically behind us.

Everyone knows We were the first to develop the Ancha area as a Bigfoot hotzone.  That fact that we as a group and each of us on are own separately are still searching there and having incidents proves that We were correct.

By WE I would mean all of us, Myself, You, Susan, Preston, Kyle, Steve, Phoebe, Vic, AP, John and Jeff too...  If I left anyone out forgive me, but I think you all know what I mean.

The first reports we got form there were reports you got, and shared with us.  What we did with the reports after that was an amazing team effort...  I'm working to get back to something like that all the time.

My work with SFBI, doesn't have to come between any of us...  Unless you want it that way...

It's just another avenue for me to gain knowledge, friendship, some new members and to get to locations that I wouldn't normally get too.

Sure you can go to the Apache Rez, but you won't get the Treatment and help that I can get now.  And you better make sure you pay your fee...  I don't pay fees I get a tour of the Fish and Game and get introduced to everyone so they know who we are...  We get cart blanch around the REZ, and get invited to Private lands?  The Chief is asking for me all time he calls me "Patriot" and wants us to go up there now?  As he has been getting reports, as the animals start to move around for the winter season.  I spent 2 nights in the field with his sons, about 20miles north west of Sunrise.

Same goes with the Navajo tribe, through my connections with JC and Chief Leonard, with have special access to people and reports.

JC just sent me a wild video, that I can't show to the public yet, but it's quite interesting.

Also remember this, I'm not just here to find Bigfoot/Mogollon Monster, I'm interested in all CRYPTIDS.   Another cool thing about Larry Jenkins property is that it's prime Mountain Lion territory.  There's reports, actually warnings from the Fish and Game to be on the look out for a CAT larger then the one on the AZCRO site?  300+ pounds...  I have a theory too...

Hey Mitch, I have been reading your posts and videos with the progress your making, it is very interesting. I think everyone is just waiting for each new report you make.We have had our own private forums for about a year now where we plan trips and discuss various things dealing with Arizona, we finally made the move to make part of our forums public. Our interest is not to compete with anyone, but to have a place for folks to talk mostly about Arizona bigfoot/squatch issues. Everyone is welcome to come on over and check us out, register on the forum and start posting. Again, we just went public so not alot of posts there yet, but we do have some folks who are very active and we expect things will take off rapidly. We do not want to draw off any activity from Azcro but are just hoping to add to the Arizona network working on these issues.[url] or [url]thanks

-borderland

Hi John,

Glad to hear from you, BTW.  I talked to Vic too...

I haven't stopped by the board but I will!

Just know this; that you guys are always welcome here.  Your posts are always welcome and your always welcome to come out when we go.

I don't get to post much as I'm super busy right now just trying to pay bills (work) just like everyone else I know...  I have been out with SFBI a few times and before that with Mitch at RC (when you guys where there).

I do finally have the new rubber now, so I will be going when ever I can swing it to either Ashfork, The Rim or The Anchas.  That is unless I get a report to take me some where else.

Always know you guys are invited when ever I go out too...  In fact I wish you could come meet TB and the team.  I know he would answer any questions you have and probably sway your opinion of him.

The Toenail is amazing, and way to big to be human?  That is unless Shack was running around Larry's property bear foot last November?  I've found 2 prints up there too?  One was in rock and un- castable.  The 2nd one I wrecked trying to cast it, first time I have done that... Wreck it that is.

Well great to hear from you.

Hi all,

Just back from Ashfork.

Mitch that's Bryan that you met at RC with Jeff and Dave?

Well if you can't tell about it here send me an email. :)

you know I'm dying for any info and will never judge you.
