The Devil at Lost Creek

If you hit a stick against a tree three times in the woods, Bigfoot will appear…

Two children put the legend to the test, summoning a brutal demon. Pity the souls who meet “The Devil at Lost Creek.”

“The Devil at Lost Creek”
(2010) Horror, 27 minutes

Written and directed by Raymond Castile

The film was shot on HDV in September and October of 2009. Post-production began in November. The film was completed on Jan. 25, 2010.

“The Devil at Lost Creek” draws inspiration from 1970s low-budget Bigfoot movies such as “The Legend of Boggy Creek” and “Creature from Black Lake.” The film respects its antecedents, but resists wallowing in retro nostalgia. “Lost Creek” uses the Bigfoot horror subgenre as a milieu for assertive, contemporary storytelling.

Fun, dramatic and scary, “The Devil at Lost Creek” is the second short horror film from Raymond Castile, director of “The  of Coffin Joe” and actor in “The Embodiment of Evil.”
